Mark joined TSB in April 2018 in the newly created role of Head of Payments Strategy & Design and is responsible for developing and executing an integrated, long-term strategy for payments within TSB. Mark is currently leading the bank’s implementation of Open Banking and PSD2 across both retail and SME banking, along with building the bank’s strategic response to the UK’s New Payments Architecture. Before joining TSB, Mark has worked at a number of leading UK and international payment providers, including Mastercard, Vocalink, Visa and Barclays, focusing on a range of strategy and digital product development roles.

Simon Rendall Head of Payments Business Architecture Lloyds

Simon Rendall has worked in a variety of payments roles  throughout his near 20 year career at Lloyds Banking Group to date, from cheque  processing, to implementing new correspondent banking arrangements, to managing  Faster Payments products. He now holds a dual role, as Product Owner for  Lloyds’ Open Banking PISP capability whilst also heading up its Payments  Business Architecture function.

Tom has extensive experience working in the payments arena for 20+ years. Tom has global product & CTO experience across a number of payment start-ups, blue chip companies including working closely with the payment schemes across Europe & North America.

Rene Kruse SVP & Managing Director TSYS International Markets TSYS

Rene Kruse is senior vice president and managing director TSYS International markets, and has responsibility for TSYS European and LATAM processing businesses and our global PRIME licensing business.

Kruse joined TSYS in 2008, initially as a consultant and becoming senior director of Enterprise Change in 2012. During this period, Kruse was responsible for major transformation, organisational and operational changes within the organisation, as well as the implementation and execution of PRIME delivery and support for TSYS International’s launch into the Brazilian market.

In 2015 he took leadership of TSYS global Prime Technology & Operations functions successfully transforming and preparing the technical, operational and delivery teams in support of TSYS growth and expansion plans.

Kruse was appointed to managing director Prime Business Solution in 2016 responsible for the end-to-end performance of all Prime business lines.

In February 2018, Kruse took over as managing director TSYS International markets assuming responsibility for all of TSYS international businesses.

Kruse has 25 years of experience in the payments industry, and was formerly with Barclaycard International for 14 years in various roles, most recently as head of Information Technology and holds a degree in business information systems.

Lindley Gooden Broadcast Journalist and Professional Chair

Lindley Gooden is a journalist and filmmaker who has worked at the very top levels of British broadcasting and news since the early 1990s.

He has worked in national radio and television as:

• A Senior BBC Journalist
• A presenter on channels as diverse as BBC One, Radio 1, BBC Three and Five and a range of other national and regional radio stations.
• The Consumer Affairs Correspondent on Sky News and Five

Prior to his years in the national media, he was known as the most successful Head of News in local commercial radio – launching new services and dramatically raising audience share and reach, using tools that have since been adopted by radio groups across the UK.

Lindley now works with companies, charities, government and other organisations creating and delivering their own media needs.
